Caterpillar Marine Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (also known as “MaK Asia”) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its MaK marine, CM petroleum, EMD brand engine service as well as Napier turbocharger workshop capacity in Singapore by moving into a new 15,000 sq/ft (1,400 m2) workshop. The new MaK Asia workshop continues to be located at the Caterpillar remanufacturing facility at the following address:

The investment in the increased workshop area and capacity allows MaK Asia to meet the increasing requirement for authorized MaK, CM, EMD and Napier after sales services in Singapore. It also provides a more efficient level of service and an expanded line up of service products that are available in house. MaK Asia provides a comprehensive range of authorized MaK, CM, EMD brand engine services including engine and component overhauling, maintenance, servicing, repair, troubleshooting, upgrading as well as exchange components.
As an authorized Napier turbocharger service provider, MaK Asia also offers a comprehensive range of certified Napier turbocharger after-sales services including overhauling, servicing, repair, troubleshooting, up grading and exchange cartridges. MaK Asia also provides service for KBB turbochargers.
In order to fully utilize the expanded workshop, MaK Asia has also expanded its workshop service team by adding additional experienced and qualified workshop technicians.
Significant investments have also been made in procuring additional specialized MaK, CM, EMD and Napier service tooling and equipment, which can also be transported and used onboard a vessel. Additional fixed workshop equipment is being added in order to expand not only the capability of the workshop but to also expand the number of service products available.
